BENEFITS OF MASSAGE
Why Erban’s focus is on therapeutic massage?
Massage has proven beneficial effects on the human body, the most basic of which are relaxation, stress relief, and pain relief. However, massage also has benefits for nearly every body system, including:
- Improves blood circulation
- Slows respiration and reduces the heart rate
- Speeds the removal of metabolic waste, strengthens the immune system
- Helps improve muscle tone and stretches connective tissue
- Increases joint flexibility and range of motion
- Enhances the health and nourishment of the skin
- Calms the nervous system
- Enhances capacity for thinking and creativity
The medical definition of massage is “the manipulation of muscle and connective tissue to enhance the function of those tissues and promote relaxation and well-being.”

Claire McIntosh
Diploma in Advanced Therapeutic Massage (level 6)
What I enjoy about the massage therapy industry, is the variety of people I get to work with which enables my work life to be interesting and challenging. As well as being able to really help my clients with any muscular and soft tissue problems that they might have, I find nothing more satisfying then knowing I’ve positively affected my clients well being. I enjoy making my clients feel revived and relaxed after treating them to a deep tissue or relaxation massage. Seeing the smile on their faces lets me know I’ve done some good work and that they go away feeling refreshed, and in a better mind, body soul state then when they came in.
